The Las Vegas Monorail system in Las Vegas opened in 2004. A few years ago, I went out there and used the monorail to get around to all the things to do in Las Vegas.
The monorail system in Las Vegas is four miles long and runs parallel to the strip between the MGM Grand and the Sahara. It has 9 trains that run about every ten minutes. I’d suggest a one day pass. If you are at the convention center it’s a good way to get to the strip.
When we were out there we stayed at the Las Vegas Hilton and picked it up at the Las Vegas convention center and would take it to Bally’s. Our ultimate destination was Paris Las Vegas and The Venetian. It turned out to be a lot of walking to the stations. If you are in a hurry, take a cab unless the strip is gridlocked or walk if where you are wanting to go is less than a mile.
I’d also suggest that you pick up a Las Vegas monorail map ahead of time.
