Las Vegas Flip Video Contest:
Here is your chance to win a flip video camera. I have one of these video recorders and I love it. I will give away one flip video camera to one winner anywhere Amazon ships shipping included.
Here Are The Steps To Enter:
Step One:
Enter a comment at the bottom of this page to let me know that you are entering the drawing along with your website. You are allowed one entry per website. It goes without saying you must have a website to win. If you have more than one, you can enter from each website you have. To enter from more than one website, you must comment to enter for each specific site. Friends and family of mine are not eligible.
Step Two:
Write a post on your blog with the title: “100 Things To Do In Las Vegas” It would be great if you wrote something about something you’ve done in Las Vegas, but if you only write about the contest that is OK. Just make sure that the title says “100 Things To Do In Las Vegas” in the title. Note: If you’ve already written a post about things to do in Las Vegas, you can use it as long as the title has “100 Things To Do In Las Vegas” in it. Editing a current post is OK as long as you also follow step 3.
Step Three:
Link the article with the anchor text “100 things to do in Las Vegas” to the following specific page like this:
Click the link to see the actual page.
Once your entry is confirmed, you’ll be listed on the contest page as a confirmed entrant with a link to your blog post. If you do not see your name and link to your site here, you’ll need to contact me.
Step Four
One winner will be chosen randomly by random number generator on February 7, 2009. Each entrant will be assigned a number upon official entry. There is not a minimum entry requirement. If you are the only one who enters, you’ll win. Your entry blog post must still be on the site. Once notified that you won, you will need to write a post on your blog that you were chosen the winner within one week of the contest so everyone knows someone actually won and then I will ship it to you and comment on your post that it was shipped. Please confirm the fact that you received it as well. Once it ships from Amazon, I am not responsible for it. I cannot guarantee a certain color of Flip Video. Proof of purchase and delivery available on request. I will link to your post as proof as well. If you do not respond within one week another winner will be chosen. Any registered trademarks of Flip Video or Amazon are there own, I am not affiliated with either. If Amazon does not ship to you, you do not qualify and another winner will be chosen. Winners must provide shipping details and all entrants are public knowledge.
Step Five
All entrants will get a link back from my contest page to their site thanking them for their participation and will remain there as long as the link remains in your post.

I wanted to post a comment here regarding my recent Flip Video contest and a distant, but somewhat similar kind of experience over at Site Build It – Don’t Buy It. Grizzly Brears wrote a post commenting on a website hosting company called SBI and how they go about selling their services through affiliates online. Lis Sowerbutts wrote a review of the program on her blog in a post called Site Build It Scam Review.
The whole point of Griz’s post on his make money blog was to show how people want information on how to make money online but do not want to offer any help to others. You can read the full story here:

One of the ways bloggers can help others is through linking to other bloggers with proper anchor text which was the whole point of my above contest.
To promote this contest, I posted information on it at blogcatalog.com in a section called Shameless Blog Promotion. Of the many, many, many bloggers who take the time to post comments at blog catalog, there were only two who took the five minutes it would have taken to enter such an easy contest for a really great prize.
The two who entered were wonderful people to come in contact with and the winner actually went back to blogcatalog and posted in the same forum about how easy it was to do it.
While this contest is completed and this comment is not related to a Flip Video, the experience that Griz had kind of reminded me of it and would give me a chance to vent a little bit.
