Today I wanted to talk some more about what kind of hotels Las Vegas offers. There are a wide range of hotel choices from the five star hotel like the Venetian to the regular hotel like the Holiday Inn. Where you stay depends alot on your taste and your budget as well as where you want to hang out.If you are like me and want to hang out on the strip, you’ll probably pay a little more than you would if you stayed off the strip.
That said, there are hotels in Las Vegas for all styles, tastes and budgets. I recommend that if you want to watch what you spend and you plan on going again in the future that you stay a cheaper hotel and not stay at the Las Vegas luxury hotels like the Bellagio, Venetian and the Wynn. Stay some place like Harrah’s or Bally’s or my favorite the Luxor because you can still get a location on the strip. Then, once you are there, spend some time looking at some of the other hotels and then choose one you like best. After that, do all of your gambling there. Be sure that you get your player’s card first so that the casino can track your play. You’ll find that depending on your level of play, you’ll get some offers for future visits at rates that more fit your budget. If you can, leave a winner. If you leave a winner, I think it increases the chances that you’ll get free room offers and get your rooms comped the next time you visit. If you don’t care what you spend, then by all means go top of the line and be sure that you do all of your gambling there as well.
I’ve got a friend who subscribes to the Las Vegas Advisor and he prides himself on how cheaply he can stay in Vegas including trying to get cheap hotels Las Vegas style as well as meals, and other coupon offers for bonuses some casinos offer. He really cracks me up, but he and his friends find it a fun to be tightwads.
The last trip that my girl and I went out there we attempted to make a run to different casinos like Hooters and Hard Rock. What we figured out though was that it took more for us in cab fare to claim the offers and it really didn’t pan out. I suppose that if you rent a car, that you’ll make out a little better there than if you have to pay for all of your trips.
There are some huge hotels Las Vegas has to offer.
My favorite hotels in Las Vegas NV are Venetian, Paris Las Vegas and the Bellagio. I’ve enjoyed the Luxor since I like the Egyptian theme as well as Mandalay Bay. All the hotels on the strip have their strong points and even hotels you might not have considered at first can be fun to stay at. I’ve yet to stay at New York, New York but have stayed at the Monte Carlo next door and discovered that the noise from the roller coaster can be heard through the windows.
Speaking of windows, we’ve always wondered why you can’t open them and guess that it is because people might jump out of them after an unlucky streak. I’d guess that it would also help with the cooling and ventilation system. It probably helps regulate things if people aren’t sucking in the outside air.
Another digression.
Anyway, now that I have been going out to Las Vegas for a while now, I’ve noticed that I don’t leave the hotel as much and tend to do alot of my stuff at the hotel I stay at. I know that usually I think it is good to stay 3 or 4 nights at a time. That is usually sufficient.
What my girl and I do is take the first night to kind of get used to be there and take a nap when we first check in. Usually we eat at the buffet and gamble some. The next night we tend to make a sex night where we do something with a sexual thrill too it like a strip club or a swingers club. Then, we’ll also have a romance night where we will go dancing and have a romatic meal like at Mon Ami Gabi or the Eiffel Tower Restaurant.
If we have an extra night we’ll try and check out a club like Tao or go to a show like Tony and Tina’s Wedding or Anthony Cools: The Uncensored Hypnotist. Be prepared that if you go clubbing at places like Moon, or Tao or drinking at any place like the Playboy Club that that you’ll shell out the dough for drinks.
While getting drinks for free is a great while you are gambling, if you are not used to it, the drinks can get expensive when you are not. I guess if you lose a lot of money, that the drinks really aren’t free, but at least it feels better..lol.
So get yourself a map of Las Vegas hotels and plot out what you would like to see as far as shows and attractions and try and pick a hotel in the area where you’ll spend most of your time. This will come in handy if you haven’t rented a car, because cab fare will usually be $10-$15 bucks each time you want to go out for the night.
Sometimes, you can split a cab. I know that we have done that particularly when we head back to the airport and that works out well too. But the reason you don’t want to walk everywhere when you go party is because you don’t want to get all hot and sweaty before you get there. And, your girl will probably be wearing heels which will make it uncomfortable after a while.
